About Us

Get to Know About CoAmana

Founded in 2018, CoAmana identifies business cases and develops commercially-viable, market-enabling digital technologies to close Africa’s largest economic gaps. In December of 2019, we piloted our digital marketplace, Amana Market, to link Nigeria’s farmers and small businesses to an ecosystem consisting of markets, information and financial services. Available through web, sms and mobile.

Amana Market is a market platform for MSMEs (Micro, small, and Medium enterprises), predominantly farmers, available through web, WhatsApp for business and SMS.

Our Mission

We aim to support digital linkages in Africa, connecting farmers and small businesses to markets, strengthening trade and supply chains. We do so through our development of the tech(i.e. Amana Market) and projects (i.e. research, impact and pilot projects that align with our digitization objectives).

How We Support Our Misson

Firstly, our digital platform Amana Market (which is a marketplace) connects consumers with farmers and small businesses.

Secondly we conduct experiments, research and pilot projects in areas that support our digitization objectives and impact. We employ behavioural economics tools. Usually project are around:

  • R&D for product development
  • Climate conscious linkages
  • Quality of small business and farmer output
  • Digital uptake and behaviour
  • Financial services credit and insurance
  • Data driven solutions and business models

Lastly Amana Community Supported Agriculture Day to create strong networks of trust and consciousness
